Саутге́мптон (ингл. Southampton Island) — Канада Арктика архипелагында ҙур утрау. Административ рәүештә Канаданың Нунавут территорияһының Кивалик регионына ҡарай.

Географияһы

Гудзон ҡултығына ингән урында урынлашҡан. Утрау майҙаны 41 214 км² тәшкил итә[1]. Ҙурлығы буйынса донъяла 34се һәм Канадала 9сы урынды биләй. Яр буйы һыҙығының оҙонлоғо 1944 км[2].

Утрау төньяҡта Мелвилл ярымутрауынан Фрозен-Стрейт боғаҙы, ә көнбайышта Лабрадор ярымутрауы менән Рос-Уэлк боғаҙы менән айырылған[3]. Утрауҙың иң бейек нөктәһе — Матиасен тауы. Утрауҙың көньяҡ-көнсығышында Белл ярымутауы урынлашҡан[4].

Саутгемптон утрауы Канаданың ҡышҡы ваҡытҡа күсмәгән һирәк территориялар иҫәбенә инә.

Халҡы

Саутгемптонда берҙән-бер тораҡ пункт — Корал-Харбор, бында 721 кеше (2001) йәшәй.
